Sentinel Hill Software, as a software developer of financial reporting applications, offers a number of products to address the needs of medium and large size companies. Solutions are available both to companies that are developing their own specialized applications, or to those that need only standard packages with minimal customization.

All tools and products are written in Acucorp's ACUCOBOL-GT^® language and operate on most operating systems, including assorted implementations of UNIX and the latest Microsoft Windows platforms. All products are available as either compiled runtime libraries or as COBOL source code. Annual Software Subscription Services are also available for all products.

Developers Resources

Sentinel Hill Software has been actively involved with those activities relating to the migration of applications written in early versions of COBOL. (Earlier versions of the accounting packages were migrated from Data General AOS/VS COBOL to ACUCOBOL^®, and recently, these have been re-engineered to GUI versions of ACUCOBOL-GT^®). As a result, a a set of GUI libraries has been developed that these accounting packages are based upon. Also, a COBOL source Porting utility that assists in moving applications written in older Classic versions of COBOL to newer implementations was developed.

These GUI libraries and the Porting Utility are now being marketed to other developers who are confronted with the ominous task of converting text based applications to Windows graphical, (GUI) implementations.

For Sentinel Hill Software, providing ongoing support to it's customers is an essential service that it provides. The Software Subscription and Support Services (SSS), program has effectively provided customers with the latest versions of software applications, notification and upgrades for bugs, and offers 800 number phone support.
