Back-End Web Access Manager
The WEB Access Manager is an application that
executes on a Windows system. It consists of a set of functions
that defines the users that visit your website and monitors its
usage.
The users that visit this website must be privileged.
That is, they need a User Access Code and a Password. The Web User
Access Maintenance routine lets you manage the WEB Users. It also
stores their email, what company they belong to, and records statistics
associated to their time visiting the website.
The main feature associated to the WEB Access
Manager is its ability to accumulate statistics related to the WEB
Users visiting the site. Three Inquiry functions are provided.
- The first is the Active Connection Inquiry. This screen
displays information about every user that is currently
visiting the site. It shows when they signed in, their name,
company, email and what special function they are requesting.
- The second inquiry function shows counts of the number
of visits and the number of times any special requests were
made. Both a table and a bar chart is displayed. The operator
can choose to display counts for the past 60 periods of
hours, days, weeks or months.
- The third inquiry is an historic log of any special requests
that were initiated by the Web User. These requests are
those the are submitted to the E-Request Job file and processed
by the E-Request Server. This might be requests for a copy
of an Invoice to be emailed, or placement of orders, or
whatever is applicable to the website.

Depending on what functions are being offered
by your website, it may be necessary to modify this application.
Some of the statistics being accumulated are for specific functions
associated to specific customers needs.
