Print Queue Manager
The Print Queue Manager is used to define any
of the logical printer queues that might be used by the applications.
Each queue has a code, a description and is associated to a printing
device that would be defined as an entry in the ACUCOBOL-GT configuration
file. There are a number of properties that can also be defined
for each queue. This utility defines the printer queues that are
utilized by the SH_PRINTROUTINE subroutine that may be used.
A Form, defined in the ACUCOBOL configuration
file and associated to a Print Queue, provides a means of automatically
having printer control sequences inserted into a report’s
output to facilitate special printing requirements.
Key Benefits
- A given printer may have numerous Printer Queues associated
to it. Each Queue can be assigned a different set of properties
- When operators select a queue assigned to the generic
Windows printer, (-p spooler), instead of having to select
a particular printer, the system will automatically print
to the the captured printed that is assigned to the Queue
- Applications may submit print jobs to specific Queues
without operator intervention

Key Features
- Define unlimited number of printer queues for use by the
applications
- Network printers may be captured and assigned to a queue
- Queues may have a form assigned to them for automatically
embedding control codes
- Each queue can be assigned a predefined font
- Test pages may be generated and printed for each queue
