Multi-Thread Processing
The Primary Application Menu provides the screen
display from which the operator will select the functions associated
to the application. Up to nine different functions can be launched
simultaneously, each in its own window executing within a different
thread. A number of menu bar [Window] functions including Hiding,
Terminating and Cascading are provided to manage those launched
menu items that are executing in their own window. Also, at the
bottom of the application's screen, each function is represented
with a graphic indicating it's status, which when right clicked
offers a pop-up window of applicable functions.
Key Benefits
- Being able to have multiple functions execute simultaneously
allows operators to switch between operational processes
and code maintenance routines as required
- Only 1 ACUCOBOL-GT® license is necessary that can handle
up to 9 functions at once
- Each function maintains it's own working storage space
