My Scheduled Menu Items Maintenance
Individual User Access privileges may be set
up for each application. As well, each user can select individual
menu items to be scheduled for processing or to be identified as
a Favorite. The application menu program automatically displays
scheduled and favorite menu items as Push Buttons on designated
Tabbed Pages. There is a separate tab displaying those items [Scheduled
for Today], [Overdue Functions], [Coming Due] and [My Favorites].
Scheduled items may also be marked as Reoccurring.
You can mark these items as Hourly (8-5), Daily (Mon-Fri), Every
Day, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual. After these functions
are executed, the system will offer a screen from which the operator
can reschedule the item.
Access properties are maintained using a tree
display. Each node in the first level of the tree represents each
of the top level menu items found on the application's screen, and
the second level of the tree is for each individual function.
Key Benefits
- Menu functions that are to be executed on a monthly or
annual basis can be scheduled thus providing a "tickler"
to the operator
- Using a Tree Structure provides a visual display for the
menu items making it easy for selection
- By build the Application's menu and the User Access Tree
structure from the same table, adding new menu items is
a simple task

bar entries
